Notes: This course will be held in the TUJ Spring-Summer Intersession and is counted toward the Summer 2024 roster. Classes will be held on May 7th-21st, except the 17th there will be no class. There is a one hour break between 12pm-1pm. The add deadline is May 9th @ 1pm; the drop deadline is May 10th @ 1pm; the withdrawal deadline is May 19th @ 1pm. The prerequisite of this course is JPNS 3002 Japanese Advanced II or major coordinators approval. Please contact the instructor for more information. Topical Course Description: This course is designed for individuals who are preparing to conduct successful job interviews in Japanese. It aims to provide students with the comprehensive skills needed to excel in the Japanese job market, focusing on mastering the Japanese language, understanding cultural nuances, and adhering to professional etiquette specific to Japan. Utilizing the Hofstede model, students will explore cultural differences, analyze personal and cultural characteristics, and learn the art of resume writing tailored to Japanese standards.
